Staff

Born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon, Staff Officer Jett Hood began his fire service journey in 2024, driven by a desire to give back to the community that helped shape him. Growing up as a student-athlete, Jett benefited from the support and encouragement of people who invested in him, an experience that inspired him to find his own way to serve and mentor others.
Jett values the culture, camaraderie and teamwork of the fire service. He believes the firehouse becomes a second family built on trust, accountability and a shared commitment to serving others. As a Staff Officer, he looks forward to helping develop Evans Valley’s students and volunteers into capable, dependable firefighters and community members who lead by example and can be counted on when the tones drop.
Outside of the fire service, Jett enjoys hunting, racing boats and spending time working in the garage.
For Jett, the people of Evans Valley are what make serving with the district especially meaningful. He values the support, pride and dedication surrounding a small rural fire department and takes pride in giving back to a community that stands behind its firefighters.
