I grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon, and my passion for the fire service started early. When I was five, my family’s home burned down—and with it, my firefighter Halloween costume. The local fire department surprised me with a new one, and that small act left a lasting impression. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger.

I got my start in wildland firefighting, spending four years operating a bulldozer on large fires. Eventually, I felt called to structural firefighting and joined the team at Evans Valley Fire District #6. I’m now in my sixth year in the fire service, with the last three spent right here in Evans Valley. I volunteered and worked part-time until I was hired full-time in December 2024.

One of the things I enjoy most is mentoring new firefighters. I’ve helped teach multiple fire academies, and passing on knowledge is something I take pride in. I recently earned my rope rescue certification and am excited to help expand our district’s technical rescue capabilities.

Being part of this team and serving our community means a lot to me—and I’m looking forward to what comes next.
