Air Quality Alert has been extended until further notice due to continued drift smoke for the Bootleg and Jack Fires coming into the Rogue Valley
Drift smoke from the Jack Fire in the Umpqua National Forest and the Bootleg Fire in the Fremont National Forest are causing smokey conditions throughout the Rogue Valley.
Recommendations from the National Weather Service during low air quality alerts/advisories:
Stay inside if possible. Keep windows and doors closed.
Avoid strenuous outdoor activity.
Use high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters in indoor ventilation systems or portable air purifiers.
Be aware of smoke in your area and avoid places with the highest levels.
If you have heart or lung disease or asthma, follow your healthcare providers advice.
