"Summer Firefighter/EMT".
The District:
Evans Valley Fire District is located seven miles north of the city of Rogue River serving 4,500 people in a rural environment. The district responds to over 300 calls for service annually from one fire station with two paid staff and several volunteers.
The Position:
A person assigned as Summer Firefighter/EMT comes to the position trained in fire suppression and emergency medical care. The Summer Firefighter/EMT responds to emergency situations where life, property or the environment is at risk. The position works under supervision from district staff and may operate emergency vehicles and perform various other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
July 15th through October 31st 2010, temporary seasonal employment.
40 Hours a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Oregon Drivers License.
Two years of continuous fire suppression experience.
Minimum of Oregon EMT-Basic
S 130/ S 190 or Equivalent
Salary and Benefits:
Hourly based on qualifications and experience:
$8.40-$15.00
