"Helping Santa Deliver Presents"
EVFD was happy to assist Santa in the delivery of Christmas presents to some members of the community.
The EVFD Association had another good year in helping Santa with his special deliveries in the Wimer area.
We'd like to extend a very special "Thank You" to everyone who made this a memorable occasion for so many youngsters.

"The EVFD Annual Christmas Party"
As another year nears its end, EVFD celebrated the blessing of this past year at their annual Christmas Party.
Even though the weather caused a delay of several days, we still had a wonderful turn out.
We would like to "Thank" everyone who came and especially all the wonderful people who worked so very hard to make this another truly special occasion.
We'd also like to wish everyone in our community "A Very Merry & Safe Christmas"

"Pipe Bursts over Chief's Office"
Another sign that it is very, very cold - earlier today a water pipe burst in the area above the chief's office.
Even though it was in an area that had plenty of insulation, the frigid temperatures still managed to sneak in and freeze the water carried through the pipe & caused it to burst.
A reminder to everyone in the district to never assume your pipes have enough insulation - you need to check them and update or replace your insulation when needed.

TRAINING
"Radio Procedures & Paperwork Procedures"
A very special "Thank You" to EVFD Volunteer Steve Costner, our representative at SORC's meetings, for coming out in below freezing temperatures to conduct last nights training on proper radio procedures.
Chief Fuller conducted the second half of the training on proper procedures in filling out the paperwork that accompanies every call.
An additional "Thank You" to everyone who braved the cold to attend last night's training.

"3rd Annual Wimer Way Tree Lighting"
EVFD was honored with the task of delivering Santa to the 3rd Annual Wimer Way Tree Lighting.
EVFD Staff and volunteers helped with parking, serving stew & chili, and assisted Santa.
We'd like to "Thank" the owners and staff of the Wimer Way Cafe for all they do - above and beyond - to make this a successful and important community event.
