24 April 2007: Evans Fire District #6 PROJECT UPDATE: Underground Watertank.
The most recent phase of our ongoing underground water storage project is getting the concrete overcap installed. The foundation for the building was put in a few weeks ago and now the overcap has been put in to protect all of the underground installations. The next phase will be designing the discharge piping system from the pump, installing the pump and then getting the building put up to protect the pump. Most of the project has been done with volunteerÊhelp and we hope to have people come forward who have the skills and the time to devote to helping complete this project. This water supply will provide 15,000 gallons of water available to fill water tendersÊor as a draft source to be used on nearby fires should the need arise.
