18 December 2006: Evans Fire District #6 CALL: "Flue Fire".
Yesterday's call for a Flue Fire turned into a Structural Fire - yet, only minor damage occured thanks to the quick response of several of our volunteers and staff and the assistance of Rogue River Fire Department.
Remember: We offer the free rental of a chimney brush to help you keep your Flue clean. Call for more information.

16 December 2006: Evans Fire District #6 SPECIAL EVENT: "Christmas Party".
Last Saturday EVFD held its annual Christmas Party for our Staff, Volunteers & Auxiliary.
It was a great party & we'd like to thank everyone for coming & a Special "Thank You" to those who worked so very hard to make it such a wonderfully successful celebration.

Saturday was also a busy day with training of several of our volunteers to become Pumper Operators

10 December 2006: Evans Fire District #6 ANNOUNCEMENT: "Flu Shot Clinic".
Inspite of numerous delays, our Saturday Flu Shot Clinic had a great & friendly turnout.
We would like to thank everyone who helped it be such a wonderful success.

Check our Holiday Safety page for some useful tips on keeping your holidays safe.
Remember on our Services page & how we have a "Free loan out of chimney brushes: If you have a woodstove, you should clean the chimney out at least twice a year. The Evans Valley Fire Department has chimney brushes available for you to use. Just call us at 582-0678, to reserve the brushes or just stop by to see if they are available and pick them up. We have all sizes of brushes."
And finally; don't forget in this time of giving that we are always looking for Volunteers. Give a little of yourself to our beloved community.
