Wishing everyone a safe & happy holiday season.
Check our Holiday Safety page for some useful tips on keeping your holidays safe.
Remember on our Services page & how we have a "Free loan out of chimney brushes: If you have a woodstove, you should clean the chimney out at least twice a year. The Evans Valley Fire Department has chimney brushes available for you to use. Just call us at 582-0678, to reserve the brushes or just stop by to see if they are available and pick them up. We have all sizes of brushes."
And finally; don't forget in this time of giving that we are always looking for Volunteers. Give a little of yourself to our beloved community.

Chief Fuller was presented with a "Mission Statement Plaque" that will be proudly displayed in the training classroom.
Chief Fuller would like to thank Tracey Touhy & Charles Santos for the wonderful plaque they made for the department.

16 November 2006: Evans Fire District #6 TRAINING: "Buddy Breathing".
Practicing "Buddy Breathing" includes learning how to change air tanks in the dark (blindfolded) in case you ever need to switch a trapped persons air tank before they can be rescued.
This is just one of many training exercises done by the department's staff, volunteers & junior firefighter volunteers.

30 October 2006: Evans Fire District #6 BOARD of DIRECTOR'S Workshop: "Volunteer Status, Recruitment & Retention #2".
It was decided that at least one additional workshop was needed to discuss the "Volunteer Status, Recruitment & Retention" quandary.
The next workshop will be held on Wednesday, 15 November 2006 at 1830 hrs (6:30 pm) at the fire station.
Again, the public is invited & encouraged to attend.
