Our future Water Tender has made a special appearance at the EVFD Firehouse.
It is a "limited engagement" as it still needs the water tank, pumps, lights, siren, etc... installed & will be off on its way to completion very soon.

21 June 2006: Evans Fire District #6 Oregon Department of Forestry Awards "Rural Fire Assistance Grant" to EVFD #6
On June 21, 2006 the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) contacted the Evans Valley Fire District #6 notifying them of a grant award. The grant was awarded through the Rural Fire Assistance Grant Program.
The grant will provide funding for 10 New Generation Fire Shelters (Soon to be required equipment); and two new mobile radios to improve communications.
The total dollar amount to be awarded is $4,700.00. There will be a 10% matching fund requirement for this grant.
Chief Fuller can hardly believe all the success with grants this year. "The grants have allowed for equipment purchases that have greatly improved our emergency response capability".
13 June 2006: Evans Fire District #6 PRESS RELEASE:ÊOregon Department of Human Services Awards "Oregon First Responder Grant" to EVFD #6
On June 10, 2006 the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) contacted the Evans Valley Fire District #6 notifying them of a grant award. The grant was awarded through the Oregon First Responder Grant Program.
The grant will provide funding for required equipment and supplies to conduct a First Responder course. The equipment to be purchased will include a portable suction unit, infant, child and adult resuscitation manikins, semi automatic defibrillator trainer, DVD player, etc. Everything needed to conduct a first responder course will be purchased.
The total dollar amount to be awarded is $4,300.00. There will be no matching fund requirement for this grant. Many grants require a percentage of the funding to be matched by the recipient.
Chief Fuller is very pleased with the effort that Lieutenant Mark Pawlick has put into this grant. He is becoming a very successful grant writer for our fire district.
