25 October 2005: EVFD AUXILIARY ANNOUNCEMENT:Once again, the community and the Auxiliary had a terrific time at our Fall Spaghetti Feed. We enjoyed seeing new faces along with the old and are very pleased with the response to our main fundraiser for the fire department. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us.
The proceeds of this Feed will complete our outfitting of the department's trucks with Fire Com - a communication and ear protection system not covered by the budget.
Congratulations to Tina, winner of the 50/50 raffle!
We would like to acknowledge our sponsors - those businesses who contribute money and products to keep the cost of our Feeds down. Many, manyÊthanks to Food 4 Less, Wimer Market, Ray's Food Place, Safeway, Albertson's, the Rogue River Press and Whitewater Bakery.

21 October 2005: EVFD AUXILIARY ANNOUNCEMENT: Our Spaghetti Feed will be tomorrow night starting at 4:30pm. Come join the fun & help support your local fire department!

5 October 2005: EVFD AUXILIARY ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2nd Annual Great Evans Valley was a resounding success and a lot of fun for volunteers, vendors and buyers. With a chilly morning to start out the day, the volunteers kept warm carrying out tables of sorted sale items. By 9 A.M., the sun was warming everyone up and the buyers started arriving. Selling of items was brisk,Êboth for vendors and the Auxiliary. D&D BarbecueÊwas on hand to feed the crowd their lunch and the firefighters and first responders sold cold drinks. The day was very festive and all appeared to have a great time.
Raffle ticket sales went well - there were 10 packages of items with a great variety of goodies - haircuts, tanning sessions, ice cream, food, oil changes, yard art, an oil painting by Evans Valley artist Mary Geller, a stained glass piece, car wash items, case of oil, fishing items,Êetc. Congratulations to Susi, Joyce, Dona, Eileen, Penny, Jeanie, Gregg, Paul, Debi and Melanie!
After totaling the proceeds, the Auxiliary is happy to announce that we can purchase Fire Com systems forÊTWOÊmore fire trucks. These systemsÊallow firefighters to communicate with dispatch and among themselves whileÊprotecting their hearing from engine and siren noise. At a cost of $1200 to $1800 hundred per truck, these systems could not be figured into the fire department's budget.
We would like to thank all of the wonderful donors of the raffle items - Mary Geller, Wimer Family Market, Ben Franklin Drug & Variety, Wimer Auto Repair, Country Road Cafe, Tabitha Hagerman, Rogue River Salon, Mi Wae Stained Glass, Karen Denman, Alexander's Framing, Baskin Robbin 31 Flavors, Abby's, Main Building Supply, Lori DeCarie, Peaceful Hill Nursery, Finish Line Service Center, and the Evans Creek Trading Post. As well, a big Thank You to Steelhead Storage who provided the Auxiliary with free space for the yard sale goods we collected.
Come out and join us again next year for the 3rd Annual Great Evans Valley Yard Sale.
