14 October 2004: Tom Smothers, a long time member of the firefighters auxiliary has passed away today. We will miss you Tom.
8 October 2004: The Evans Valley Firefighters Auxiliary will be holding a Spaghetti Feed Fund raising event on October 23, 2004. Food will start being served at 4:40 pm. It will be all you can eat spaghetti, along with a salad and dessert. Please show your support for your local Fire Department by coming down for the food or just give a tax deductible donation to the auxiliary.
The Evans Valley Elementary School will be holding their annual Halloween Carnival, where the Evans Valley Volunteer Firefighters will be at helping to park cars and run an entertainment booth.
30 September 2004: 6644's leak has been patched. However upon its weekly drive around the district, a new large hole as developed where the tank walls meet up front. While it may be welded to be repaired but there is great concern what what we can weld to. There may not be enough metal left on the tank to produce a acceptable patch. 6644 is now out of service.
28 September 2004: The tender, 6644, that is up for replacement has sprung a new leak. While rather large, we believe we can fix this with a patch.
26 September 2004: www.EVFire.org is born! While there may not be much, but a lot more is to come. Check back often.
25 September 2004: The Great Evans Valley Yard Sale was a success. The Evans Valley Fire Auxiliary made over $1900 to purchase a multi-gas detector for the fire department. Thank you for your support.
